My Speech got a leech.

Kai ora bloggers this week our whole hub was preparing a speech and my speech was on REFUGEES I got heaps of help from my mum she told me that I should write my speech on paper then type it. I could that really helpful. Have a read. Do you like it? Did you do a speech?

Refugee.

  1. Hello everyone, today I'm going to talk about people called refugees, their troubles, their problems, the countries they go to and how we can help. So to start off, What are refugees? Refugees are what we call people that have fled their country due to war in the country violence to their family or them and like I said they are just called refugees they are normal people just like you and me so why treat them differently? Why point out differences when we are the same? Why try to put them down? Countries welcome these people but sometimes in the community, they get disrespected for their culture, beliefs, looks, and anything different about them.  They don't need all this, they come here to live a happy life. All they need is a place to live in, a meal, and a helping hand. The government normally would provide that but so can you.

2. refugees are come from all around the globe and go all around the globe no matter if they come from: Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, South Sudan, Afghanistan, Syria, Palestine, Pakistan to name a few, and go to countries such as Canada, Australia, America, New Zealand, UK, Spain, Europ, Turkey, Jordan, Izrael and on and on the list of these names go these countries are willing to help and are helping in every possible way. Like I said, refugees, come because they are in danger every moment.

3. Refugees come for a reason and some reasons you may know but let's look into more reasons. Afghan refugees come because Taliban people of some country but are more like a huge raider army took after the country and are killing people. In Syria, things look the same. The Syrian government has turned its backs on the people which lead to more violence and crime and when people protested all they got was death. South Sudan was on the same road millions died in the South Sudanese civil war which started in 2013. Ok now that we know about this let's look at the problems that hosting countries deal with.

4. Countries that take refugees in have their own problems. Countries such as Turkey, Jordan, and Israel take refugees but they need more funds - more money cause these countries themselves are having trouble getting children educated, and finding jobs is hard. So countries like America, Australia, and Europe donate funds and money to help. To be a refugee you don't plan for a year it's an on the spot dissension, you leave everything behind and just run away in the hope of a better

Life. Some people are skilled workers like doctors, nurses and businessmen they leave their careers and all they take away is hope. Hope to come back, hope for a better life.

5. That's it for my speech and remember all that a refugee need is a place to live, a meal, and a helping hand and if you can do that then you are a great person. Thank you for listening.

Kia ora bloggers, lockdown just finished in Christchurch. In lockdown school for literacy, we had to do a quick write then a must-do activate, and a can-do activate, and then if we wanted we could do some reading. My favorite activate was writing a quick write. We always had a focus on what we wanted our story to sound like.  I in the first week we focused on personification and on the other week we focused on Idioms. Food.

Kia ora bloggers, Lockdown still is on and home learning continues. But in this learning, I have learned about Organic food and Genetically modified food.

What is Organic Food? Organic food is the fruits and veggies that have been grown without chemicals and without harming the environment and this means the bungs that came to feast on them don't get killed by chemicals.

What is Genetically modified food? Genetically modified food is food that is grown with chemicals and mechanics not hand-grown. This food can grow all year round not just in particular seasons.

So what do you think is Organic food better or Genetically modified food?
